Tired out.

Fatigue is a pretty big part of Mitochondrial Disease. Afterall it is a disorder of energy metabolism. Some days the fatigue isn't hugely obvious and other days it is. Like today... Emeric woke up, played with some trucks, and then took a bath. He started crying in the bathtub and could barely keep his eyes open. I got him dressed, sat him down with his blanket and he looked exhausted. Thankfully if he rests for a while he'll usually be ok to get up and go play again for a while but today I just put him down for a nap because he was so tired.

Other days he's really hyperactive. It may be surprising but that's usually just a mask for fatigue too. You know how it is, you keep your kids up too late and they start bouncing off the walls!

Tired or not he's still pretty cute!

And I couldn't resist posting a video. Emeric was being kind of a stinker but with enough funny faces I finally got him to crack a smile!
