Ok, enough of the numbered days. This doesn't mean we're well but I am finally feeling better! I actually slept last night after some sinus meds and lots of Ibuprofen! Emeric is not better. Kaydence has her 3 year check today which basically translates into a pointless appointment where they tell me nothing I don't already know and we probably pick up some other illness while there! I think I have a pretty good idea of whether or not she's "well" but since I'm not vaccinating I've been warned to "at least" do the Well child checks so no one could ever come and say I'm neglecting my kids by not getting them proper medical care. Although it's pretty obvious I am since I'm at the clinic much more than your average person. Oh well, Emeric has to have some blood work done anyway so I might as well take Kaydence along.

Day EIGHT(Otherwise known as Week TWO)

If you can believe it, I'm still sick. I hardly slept at all last night and when I did sleep my fashion attire included a kleenex rolled and shoved up one nostril to keep my nose from dripping all over my bed. Disgusting huh? Since I couldn't breathe out of my nose my mouth was hanging open which ends up giving you a sore throat so I was up and down all night getting water to keep my parched throat hydrated. Then from coughing, or maybe just from getting in and out of bed I pulled a muscle in my back so was heating my rice sock at 3am(Aunt Kel and Mom, I realize I should've used ice but when you're running a fever of 102 and have the chills ice is the last thing you'd be using!) and so on and so forth. Anyway... who's complaining?

Emeric is still sick. He's only going on Day 6 so I expect another couple days for him. He doesn't seem to have gotten it as bad as the rest of us but every illness with him hangs on a long time so it will probably be a while.

To spoil him I decided to buy him a pair of Baby Legs. If you don't know what Baby Legs are well they are baby leg warmers. I know what you're thinking... Baby leg warmers are pointless, a waste of material, pointless, expensive, etc... And well you're right. But look at how cute he is in them??

Day 7

Emeric is feeling better today. He took a 3.5 hour nap this morning and I think that helped. Well, that and the Motrin.

I am still sick. I don't know why I got hit the hardest! I am sooooo tired. I'm going to try to get in to the doctor tonight.

I talked to Cleveland today and they're going to get Emeric's biopsy scheduled. The nurse said the doctor told her I was going to call her to get it set up and I thought she was going to call me so it was a misunderstanding. She said they're booked out about 4 weeks now so looks like we'll probably go sometime in March.

Day 6

Is that right, Day 6?? Ugh!

I went to bed at 8:00pm last night and woke up at 8:00am this morning. Emeric went back down at 9:00am and I slept for another 1.5 hours. I could still sleep! I am so tired and back last night to running a fever of over 102. I think I've probably got a sinus infection now.

The girls seem to be better. Kaydence is still running a fever but acts like she feels pretty good. Emeric has been lying on the couch all morning and doesn't feel good at all.

Kaydence has year 3 year check up next week but there is no way I'm going in the the clinic and risking picking this up again!

Day 5-Noon

Don't worry, I won't post hourly updates! The days do feel long though and I am wishing it was bedtime already.

Took the kids in to the clinic and we've all got the flu. Kaydence, Emeric, and I had flu swabs done. Theirs were positive, mine was negative. The Dr. said that just means I'm not contagious anymore. I didn't have Kylie tested. Really no point because it's pretty obvious we all have the same thing.

Of course the doctor drilled getting flu shots into my head. I told her I'd heard that the reason for the outbreaks this year was because the vaccination was the wrong strain but she casually changed the subject. And really even if it were the right strain it doesn't matter because we don't vaccinate anyway. Of course she doesn't know that, she's the doctor on call, and it doesn't really matter if she knows.

Day 5

Seeing that it's only 7:00am I'll probably end up updating more than once today.

Everyone is still sick here. I was up off and on all night because my asthma wouldn't let me take a deep breath and I don't have my inhalor. I'm still running a fever and my chest, ribs, stomach, head, face, kidneys, you get the point, all hurt from coughing. I heard the girls coughing all night and Emeric was coughing when I went in there too. I woke up last night at 1:00am to give him some more Motrin because I didn't want his fever creeping up in the middle of the night.

I might see if I can run in to the doctor this morning and get a prescription for an inhalor so I can at least breath because breathing is a good thing.

On yet another down note our furnace isn't working right. It's 62 this morning which isn't bad but cold enough when everyone is running a fever and already chilled. I suppose I'm going to have to call the repair guy today.

Well, I'm off.

Day 4

Thankfully I am much better today. Still don't feel spectacular but at least better than the last few days. Kylie and Kaydence are both still running a low grade fever and not real perky but they're better. Emeric is pretty sick and just lying around.
I usually try to post most things about him at his caringbridge site so you can go there and read about him if you want. :)

Not much planned here for the weekend except disinfecting my house from all the sickness!
